ADAM A. RUIZ

A Southern California native, Adam Ruiz is a financial services industry veteran with deep
roots in the Temecula Valley as well as in the local business and non-profit communities. Currently President of his own loan and mortgage company, he has been helping businesses and families in the community purchase and refinance homes and property for over 10 years. He also holds a California Department of Real Estate Broker’s License.
In addition to his position as a leading businessman within the community, Ruiz has served as President of his local BNI (Business Network International) and currently serves as the Networking Co-Chairman of the Temecula Valley Chamber of Commerce’s (TVCC) Membership Committee where he oversees and directs Chamber events and activities geared toward increasing membership and improving the membership experience. While at the Chamber, he was also instrumental in creating one of the TVCC’s most enterprising and successful groups, the Valley Young Professionals (VYP), which now boasts more than 70 members of active, entrepreneurial young business people. In 2006, Ruiz was named Ambassador of the Year by the TVCC, and in 2008 and 2010, his company, A R Home Loans Direct, Inc., was among only a handful of companies to be nominated for the prestigious TVCC Business of the Year Award. He was also nominated for Citizen of the Year in 2009 and 2010.
In 2010, he founded the Rotary Club of Temecula Valley – New Generations, the newest Rotary club in the Temecula Valley. He is currently serving as President of the club which has grown to 29 members.
Ruiz’s Temecula roots began long before he formed his own company in the area in 2005. Originally raised in Oceanside, his parents moved the family to Temecula in 1993. He attended Temecula Valley High School and then went on to study business economics at the University of California at Santa Barbara. Ruiz had initially planned on a career as a firefighter, and underwent training as a Fire Explorer from 1994-1996. Shortly thereafter, he was offered a position with Home Town Financial Services which put him on the fast track in the financial services sector. While at Home Town, he maintained the top sales position and earned the title of “Loan Officer of the Month” an unprecedented 9 times during his three-year tenure there. Over the course of his career, he also held positions with Countrywide Home Loan, Liberty Mortgage Services and Liberty Financial Solutions. At the latter two, he rose to the positions of Corporate Branch Manager, and President, respectively.
Ruiz maintains his CPR and AED certification and recently received additional certification by the Temecula Peace Corps in their CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program, which provides training to serve as a leader at home and/or in the workplace in the event of a natural disaster or emergency situation. He contributes generously of his time and resources to several charitable organizations in the community, including Oak Grove Center for Education Treatment & the Arts, Our Nicholas Foundation, Wishes for Children, Project T.O.U.C.H., and JonBoys, Inc.
A married father of two young children, Ruiz enjoys spending time coaching his children’s soccer team with the Temecula Valley Soccer Academy and basketball team with the Temecula Youth Basketball League. His hobbies include fitness, playing all sports including football, soccer and basketball, as well as Shaolin Kempo karate, in which he earned his black belt degree.
